This is a learning comparator, not a calibrated professional ESR meter.
Never test capacitors still connected to powered equipment.
Use low test voltage so polarity mistakes are less destructive, but still respect electrolytic polarity.

This checker is for removed or fully discharged low-voltage capacitors. It is not for live circuit testing, mains filter capacitors, or charged high-energy capacitors.
